Joshua Phelps

A Low Maintenance Landscape LLC was founded in Akron, Ohio in 2008 by owner/operator Joshua Phelps. The North Hill native began with a shovel in hand despite having a new business loan. Diligent and dependable, his humble beginnings were fueled by a passion for helping homeowners and business property owners simplify and enhance their properties. With a background of visual and performing arts, Josh applies experienced artistry to every new build service or landscape maintenance service contracted to complete.

With an industrial background working at a steel mill finishing plant, Josh gained gritty hands-on experience as a welder and as an inspector for quality control. The operation of the plant gave insight of a systematic process, start to finish.

Josh has deep roots in the local and national music scene as a pronounced drummer. The color, dimension, rhythms and textures have developed a strong base that have carried through to the creative side of his landscape design. Imagination , flow, repetition, diversity, intricacy, tranquility and simplicity have forged to showcase sustainability within these pleasured works of art.

In our green construction and landscape industry, equipment plays a big role in taking on new work. It has been a top-priority to invest in advanced professional equipment to assist in the demands of the job.
